Pope Benedict XVI has been all over the News for his recent visit to Barcelona where he consecrated Antoni Gaudi’s unfinished but beautiful church, the Sagrada Familia, as a basilica.
I just found another piece of art on flickr which I thought would be nice to publish: It’s the Pope Benedict made of condom wrappers (hundreds of them). From the look of it, it was thought out and made somewhere in the UK since I could find some Mates, Pasante and Vitalis wrappers.
By the way:
During the Pope’s visit crowds populated the streets to the Sagrada Famila and about 200 gay activists organized and performed a “kiss-in” when the “Papamobile” passed.
“We are here to demonstrate against the Pope’s visit and call for a change in the mentality of the Catholic institution which still opposes our right to different ways of loving,” said one protester, Sergi Diaz according to the BBC.
