Last week Reuters reported the ban of Angelina Jolie’s WANTED movie poster in the UK. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) had received several complaints stating “that the ads were irresponsible because they glorified and glamorised gun crime. They felt the ads condoned or were likely to provoke violence or antisocial behaviour”.
Apart from the ban being too late (the posters were already taken down at the time of the ASA ruling) and making it just terrific movie publicity, the public has clearly missed another aspect of the poster: It was openly advocating safe sex! …as can be seen in the gun close up below!
